Everything is Changing

Pregnancy takes so much strength. It can bring up fears and insecurities. Many birthing people question themselves, asking, “Can I really do this?”

Some of the biggest challenges in pregnancy include:

  • Navigating physical and hormonal changes, and losing a sense of body familiarity

  • Anxiety around transitioning into a parent role

  • Processing feelings around your own family of origin

  • Moving forward from previous pregnancy losses or birth trauma.

If You’ve Experienced Birth Trauma…

If you’ve experienced birth trauma…

You may be living with:

  • Replaying the trauma in your head

  • Questioning if you are doing everything wrong

  • Guilt that you haven’t bonded with your baby

  • Always feeling on edge or emotionally raw

  • A NICU experience that left you shaken and helpless

This pain is real, and healing is possible.
You’re allowed to grieve, feel, and ask for support. You’re not failing. You’re surviving something tough. And you deserve space to recover.

The Path We’ll Take Together

Pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting after loss or infertility can feel like an emotional balancing act—and it’s so easy to put your own well-being last. But you don’t have to carry the weight of this alone. Support isn’t a luxury. It’s part of caring for yourself.

You already hold the wisdom of what’s best for you and your family. My role is to walk alongside you with compassion and clarity, helping you process what you’ve been through and reconnect with your own sense of peace, strength, and self-trust.

Step 1: Tune Into Your Body

It’s easy to get lost in the chaos of this journey and forget what your body truly needs. We’ll gently check in on how you’re caring for yourself—rest, nourishment, movement, and support—so you can reconnect with your body and treat it with the care it deserves.

Step 2: Explore Your Unique Journey

I want to understand your pregnancy or postpartum experience—how it’s been emotionally and mentally, and the challenges you’ve faced. Together, we’ll explore your family dreams, values, and how your past shapes your parenting. Your past doesn’t dictate your future.

Step 3: Heal and Release

Together, we’ll gently explore any fears, anxieties, or inner narratives  that are standing in the way of you feeling grounded and confident. You deserve to feel empowered, and I’m here to help you break through those barriers so you can move forward with clarity

Step 4 - Reclaim Your Power

You are stronger than you know. We’ll focus on reconnecting with your inner strength and resilience—especially when things feel overwhelming. This is about stepping into your role as a parent with confidence, trusting yourself, and owning the power you already carry.

Step 5: Honor Your Needs

Parenthood can be overwhelming and finding balance can seem impossible. This is a love like you have never known and I will help your body, brain, and heart make sense of it. Prioritizing you doesn’t make you any less of a parent—it makes you stronger for your family.

How Can Therapy Help During Pregnancy and Postpartum?

  • Manage Symptoms

Around 1 in 5 people experience anxiety or depression during or after pregnancy. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, tearful, irritable, or disconnected, therapy offers a path forward. We’ll work together to help you feel more like yourself again.

  • Set Healthy Boundaries

It can be hard to say no to well-meaning family and friends. Whether it’s unsolicited advice, uninvited visits, or comments that cross the line, therapy gives you the tools and language to confidently ask for what you need.

  • Plan for Postpartum Care

Caring for a baby is important, but so is caring for yourself. Therapy can help you create a postpartum plan that honors your emotional needs, anticipates your biggest concerns, and helps you feel more supported from the start.

  • Navigate Identity Shifts

Becoming a parent is a huge change, but it doesn’t mean you have to lose who you are. Therapy can help you integrate your new role with the other parts of your identity—your relationships, passions, and values—so you feel whole, not invisible.

You don’t have to choose between caring for your baby and caring for yourself—therapy gives you the space to do both.
